Second Nature's Holiday Gift Guide for your Handyman or Handywoman

Get a gift for the handyman or handywoman in your life.

It’s almost time to start holiday shopping, which means it’s time to try and find that perfect gift again. Luckily, Second Nature is here to simplify that too. We’ve got the perfect gift guide for your handyman, or handywoman, to streamline projects around the house.

Digital Tape Measure

Everybody has a tape measure, but nobody has one as advanced as this. A digital tape measure will produce measurements more precise than anything you can do by hand. You can also save measurements if you happen to be a forgetful person. In addition to the practical applications, it’s just a neat gadget that’s very easy to use.

Magnetic Wristband

Raise your hand if you’ve never dropped a screw or nail somewhere while building something and lost it. Now put your hand down. You’re lying. Screws are small. They roll around. They’re really one of the more unheralded pains that come with a DIY fix. A magnetic wristband is a great way to hold screws so you don’t lose them and they’re always within reach. It’s usually a simple velcro wristband with a magnetic plate in one side. You just strap it to your wrist, and it will hold nails, screws, or any other metallic objects you want to have within reach.

Extendable Flashlight

Acquiring proper lighting can be one of the biggest roadblocks to accomplishing do-it-yourself home projects. Everybody has flashlights, but the right flashlight for tough jobs is harder to find than it might seem. The flashlight industry has had a lot of fun recently though, and extendable and bendable (hey, that rhymes) flashlights are the perfect adaptable tool to provide light for any job, tight space or not.

Magnetic 360 degree light

Continuing the theme of lighting up your projects with neat gadgets, a magnetic light that can be oriented in any direction and stuck to any surface is excellent for projects in the dark or poorly lit areas. Need to work on your car’s engine one night? Just slap this thing on the inside of the hood and don’t worry about whether or not you can see what you’re working on.

Electric saw

Everybody who has a yard has a bush or tree or some form of foliage that they want to get rid of. Maybe it’s growing in a weird spot, it’s unevenly growing, or it’s just hideous. An electric tree destroyer, better known as a JawSaw, is an excellent gift for someone who loves their yard, but might not have time work on it every day. A JawSaw is like a miniature chainsaw that doesn’t require gas or oil. It’s not for cutting up full-grown oak trees, but there is no easier or more fun way to cut annoying branches or clean overgrown shrubs.

The holiday shopping season is already underway. We know how stressful trying to find the perfect gift can be, but one of these awesome tools should be perfect for your handyman or handywoman that loves to get things done around the house.
